AdamWorks is pleased to announce that it recently expanded its manufacturing facilities with the lease of an additional 18,455 square feet adjacent to its current Centennial facilities. This increases AdamWorks' total manufacturing and engineering footprint to over 30,000 square feet.
"This expansion supports our growth into 2012, and represents our commitment to capital investment on behalf of our customers," said Kim Burquest, President of AdamWorks. "We are now well positioned to support our customers' growth initiative in key markets such as unmanned vehicles, commercial space and transportation, aerospace and defense, and renewable energy."
AdamWorks is pleased to announce it has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification, which demonstrates the organization's commitment to the design and manufacture of composite solutions to our customer's high quality standards.
The ISO 9001 certification, which is the most widely recognized industry standard for quality management systems, assures customers of AdamWorks' adherence to documented processes and procedures that ensure continued and ongoing improvements in deliveries to its customers.
"Achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification is an important milestone for both AdamWorks and our customers," said Scot Allen, Chief Operating Officer of AdamWorks. "The certification process required a lot of hard work and demonstrates AdamWorks' continued commitment to our customers, the quality of our products, and our culture of continuous improvement."
ISO 9001:2008 applies to industries involved in the design and development, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of products. The ISO certification process ensures on-going compliance to standards of performance because, once certified, companies are externally audited annually for continuous execution of the standards.
AdamWorks is pleased to announce that Dennis Olcott, Ph.D., P.E., has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Chief Engineer.
Olcott brings over twenty years of experience in composite structures design and certification, new product development, production support engineering, and program management.
"We are excited that Dennis has chosen to join our team," said Kim Burquest, President. "Dennis brings an in-depth level of composites expertise and the technical engineering leadership that will take AdamWorks to the next level in not only exceeding our customer objectives for our core aerospace market, but also in our strategic initiatives to continue our diversification into other markets."
Most recently, Olcott served as Vice President of Engineering at Piper Aircraft, with responsibility for new product development, aircraft certification, flight test, and production support engineering. Previous positions have included Vice President of Engineering and Chief Engineer at Adam Aircraft, and key technical and leadership positions at Scaled Technology Works and Columbia Aircraft (now Cessna). Mr. Olcott holds a Bachelor of Science and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
