Business Development Manager

AdamWorks, designer and manufacturer of complete composite solutions for any industry, seeks a Business Development Manager to develop carbon fiber application markets. Our markets include many commercial applications, including: aerospace, wind energy, auto, Commercial transportation, commercial and residential Interiors and Décor, and many other diverse industrial markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and develop business opportunities in commercial application markets (aerospace, wind, commercial transportation, etc.)
  • Conduct exploratory meetings with targeted customers in each application
  • Develop strategy for penetrating market and offering a differentiated product/solution
  • Evaluate entire value chain for each application, and develop strategy for placement of our product(s)
  • Conduct market research and develop business cases for new applications
  • Select and develop channels to market
  • Define and evaluate partnering and/or acquisition opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Proven business development experience for large, multi-million dollar accounts
  • Must be resourceful, ask intelligent questions, and know where to find the answers
  • Solid knowledge of composite applications in the commercial / industrial environment
  • Ability to travel approx. 25-50% of the time

Business Development Analyst

In this position you will be a key member of the leadership team for the Business Development Unit at AdamWorks. Your work and ideas will form the basis on which our team strategy is developed. In the BDA role, you have the opportunity to directly impact business development and results, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, self-managed, commercially minded, flexible, and team-oriented and possesses strong integrity and professionalism. Significant travel is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prioritize top business growth opportunities for AdamWorks in various industries. Use creative and practical thinking to develop a plan for effective pursuit of these opportunities.
  • Develop intimacy with the assigned customer accounts. Understand their process economics, applications, KPIs, and the related AdamWorks value to the customer. Ensure that the account team understands this and can communicate it.
  • Develop new applications for AdamWorks composites across industries.
  • Conduct analysis to show payback on investment and develop business cases for customers.
  • Drive new products and services development initiatives for the team.
  • Develop strategy and commercial messaging for bringing assigned new products & services to market.
  • Work with marketing to develop marketing mediums/tools effectively to communicate clear messages to the market/customer base.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum university education, MBA preferred. Training in economics/economic analysis a plus
  • 7-10 years working experience in Marketing or B2B sales. Product Management experience a plus
  • Energetic and well organized with exceptional communication skills
  • Proficient in use of analytical tools (Excel, database management, etc)
  • Ability to evaluate and effectively pursue strategic sales opportunities
  • Strong team player, self-managed and proactive with a demonstrated sense of ownership
  • Objective, critical thinking capabilities
  • Credible; able to develop strong relationships within the team and with customers
  • Affinity for technical products and services
  • Able to travel to customer sites (approx 50% travel)


Designer

The Drafter will primarily be responsible for developing layouts, drawings and designs that meet engineering specifications. You will also be working with a great team to review engineer drawings, analyze designs and retrieve information to complete drawings and layouts.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth working knowledge of AutoCAD (also UG, SolidWorks, SolidEdge preferred)
  • 2 to 5 years of previous experience as a Drafter
  • Previous Aerospace experience is preferred but not a MUST

Program Manager

We are seeking a self-motivated, team-minded PROGRAM MANAGER that will employ solid leadership and organizational skills in overseeing all facets of programs including: Planning, Staffing, Operations, and Communications. As the Program Manager, our candidate will manage numerous projects, production process enhancements, and system upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  • Product / project management
  • Familiarization in working with project proposals / project plans
  • Defining the business scope
  • Schedules and ensures accomplishment of project deliverables
  • Identifies and provides recommendations on projects to adequately staff projects
  • Liaison with applicable departments, ensuring that project deliverables are met
  • Creates and maintains project reporting, documentation, and a product life cycle / plan for each product
  • Performs analysis against technical specifications on projects and reports findings
  • Prepares project status reports; distributes to applicable personnel
  • Builds and maintains relationships with vendors and project related personnel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Five years project/program management

Composites Technician

The demand for our composite parts has experienced rapid growth over the past year based on our ability to form any complex shape and our ability to develop long-lasting relationships with our customers. At AdamWorks, the rate of change is high, requiring individuals who can excel, adapt and help propel our businesses forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with and fabricates parts, structures and tools using various composite materials
  • Works with and fabricates tooling, fixtures, etc. from various composite materials
  • Follow design drawing instructions and written process instructions in the fabrication of parts
  • Works directly with Design Engineers in performing fabrication and assembly tasks

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years experience with large composite structures fabrication and/or test
  • Experienced with typical composite lay-up techniques
  • Experienced in handling and working with composite materials, fiberglass, carbon fiber or Kevlar
  • Experience in using standard machine shop equipment and tools
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, innovative, and collegiate culture
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal directions for composite lay-up
  • Ability to effectively work in a team to accomplish large part fabrication

Mechanical Engineer

Responsible for composite component structural design and will be actively involved in manufacturing support.

Responsibilities:

  • Design of mechanical components including generation of detailed documentation, mechanical drawings, and assembly drawings
  • Effectively communicate with internal manufacturing and external suppliers in both orally and written form
  • Responsible for engineering and manufacturing documentation including bill of material, change orders and revision control
  • Ability interface with internal staff, customers and suppliers to achieve design requirements and specifications

Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years Mechanical Design with the following preferred (in order):
    • Composite Design
    • Stress Analysis
    • Solid modeling
    • Manufacturing Engineering / Tooling
    • Drawing Creation
    • M&P
